- Laser warning signs (if required)
All additional instruments required for procedures including:
- Modified laser scopes – Storz & Olympus
- Morcellator handle with blades & nephroscope
- Morcellator machine including morcellator tubing
- Rigid and or flexible uretroscope
CONSULTATION & TRAINING
Preliminary meeting with Consultants, Hospital managers & Theatre staff to discuss the following:
- Healthcare Commission requirements for laser safe theatre’s
- Latest laser policies
- Generic treatment protocols
- Handling & sterilization requirements for instruments
- All required certification and necessary indemnity
- Help with presenting business case
Basic laser safety training with theatre staff
- Promoting staff awareness of hazards associated with Holmium lasers
Sponsored training days for theatre staff
- Including pre-operative theatre setup and procedure requirements
Sponsored Mentoring programs for consultants and surgeons
- Dedicated to the advancement of Holmium surgery through mentoring and training
